About Me
I have over 10 years of experience working as a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in the state of Michigan. Originally from Ann Arbor, I moved to the western side of the state to earn my Bachelor's degree in psychology from Calvin College. My next five years were spent in the Chicagoland area where I completed my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Wheaton College. During that time I trained in a variety of school and outpatient settings. The following years were spent in Jackson, Mississippi where I received post doctoral training in assessment and therapy at Methodist Rehabilitation Center. 2013 brought me back to Grand Rapids when I joined the psychology team at Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital. Over the last decade I provided inpatient and outpatient therapy as well as brief neuropsychological assessments at the hospital. I have worked with many different populations over the course of my rehabilitation experience including patients who had experienced stroke, spinal cord injury, amputation, brain injury/concussion, cancer, and other neurological disorders. I also enjoyed providing supervision to our post doctoral residents. I am now excited to start a new chapter of my career in general private practice. Outside of work I enjoy hiking, yoga, traveling, escape rooms, and spending time with my wife and our three retired racing greyhounds.
